A British couple freed by the Taliban after being detained for nearly eight months have emotionally reunited with their daughter.
Barbie Reynolds, 76, and her husband Peter, 80, were safely released from detention on Friday and flown to Doha following mediation from Qatar.
They were met off the plane by their daughter who hugged them in emotional scenes.
After medical checks they will travel to the UK, despite their long-term home being in Afghanistan's Bamiyan province.
The couple were detained by the Taliban's interior ministry in February before being moved to a maximum security prison in Kabul the following month.
The couple have lived in Afghanistan for the past 18 years and run an organisation called Rebuild, which provides education and training programmes.

Family members in the UK repeatedly called for the couple's release, saying they were being mistreated and held on undisclosed charges. While the Taliban rejected the abuse allegations, they have never explained what prompted their detention.
In July, United Nations human rights experts warned the couple's physical and mental health was deteriorating rapidly and that they were at risk of irreparable harm or even death.
In the same month, their son Jonathan told the PA news agency the situation had been "pretty frustrating", after they made multiple appeals to the Taliban to release their parents.

At the time, he added: "It's horrific that they're still held in captivity without, to our understanding, for a period of time without any natural sunlight and not even allowed outside. So their health in so many areas is deteriorating, and it's deteriorating fast."
