EFL pundit impressed by Nottingham Forest duo

EFL on Quest pundit Michael Brown was impressed with Nottingham Forest duo Joe Worrall and Michael Dawson in Saturday's 2-1 win away at Fulham.

The former Leeds United midfielder spoke highly of boss Sabri Lamouchi's defensive masterclass at Craven Cottage as the Reds left London with all three points despite their rivals having far more of the ball.

Lewis Grabban twice got on the score sheet to silence his doubters and put the game beyond Scott Parkers side.

22-year-old Worrall was just four years old when Dawson made his Forest debut, but the pair have impressed in the middle of the defence in recent weeks - and Brown believes the youngster will be learning and improving as each game goes by.

"It does work, that’s what you have to do," said Brown, impressed with Forest's defensive resilience.

"You look at Michael Dawson and Joe Worrall, the central defenders controlling things with one older one and one younger one."

He added: "They’re just trying to marshal things, out of possession how much can you limit this Fulham attacking three and they did that today."
