The English Football League (EFL) have reportedly agreed a deal with a company to provide coronavirus tests to Championship clubs.
It's a major step in the direction of getting the season restarted with Nottingham Forest 's campaign suspended for over two months because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sabri Lamouchi 's side are in fifth place and have aspirations of reaching the Premier League for the first time in two decades.
They'll be hoping to qualify for the play-off places this season and they currently have a five point gap to Bristol City in seventh place.
Now Football Insider are reporting that a £5 million deal has been struck with a company called Prenetics, based in Hong Kong, who will supply testing apparatus.
The £5m figure, spread across 24 clubs, means it will cost each club about £208,00 each.
Championship clubs are keen to restart the season, with Leagues One and Two looking unlikely to resume.
The Premier League is set to resume on June 13, just under a month's time, whole the German Leagues will get back underway today.
Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion currently lead the way at the top of the League.
Forest lost their last match 3-0 to Millwall, Matt Smith netting a first-half hat-trick on March 6 at the City Ground.
The Reds are joined in the play-offs by Fulham, Brentford and Preston North End.
