Eerie blue 'UFO' light spotted by more residents above Bristol

Baffled residents reported seeing an eerie 'UFO' in the night sky above Bristol last night.

The mysterious blue light was seen from around midnight onwards after previously being caught on camera earlier this year.

A video taken last night in Filton shows the strange light moving silently across the sky at around 1.20am.

Easton resident Tayyeba Kausar said she also saw something strange in the sky earlier on in the night.

"I was opening up my back door to let my cat in as it was 11.58pm," she said.

"I then spotted a really strange blue light flying in the sky.

"It was really weird and eerie, there was not a single noise coming from it and it was quite low down in the sky.

"I stood and watched it for a while and I could see that it was flying but it was extremely quiet.

"It was coming closer but then it flew away. I've never seen anything like this before.

"I thought it might have been a UFO or something as I've read articles before when strange things have appeared in Easton."

This isn't the first time the mysterious blue light has been seen in Bristol.

In May earlier this year, a man and his wife spotted the blue light while driving from Fishponds  out to the A4174 Avon Ring Road in Frenchay.

“You might say that it is an aeroplane, and maybe it is true, but it was strange because I wasn’t able to hear any engine noise,” he said.

“I was with my wife going from Fishponds to the ring road and my wife saw it first.

“It was cloudy, and I said ‘that is an aeroplane’. After that I stopped the car, turned off the lights and the engine and I’ve opened the window, and it was really strange.

“It was quiet at that hour, there were no cars and no one on the road. As you can see in the picture, it wasn’t flying too high, but it wasn’t making any noise."

The couple watched the light for around two minutes, with the man recording a video on his phone and his wife taking pictures.

It was only when they looked at images they captured on the video that they noticed there were three red lights within the blue.

“I thought first that maybe they were from my car, but I excluded because the engine and all the lights were off," he said.
