Edinson Cavani outlines plan that includes leaving Man Utd just days after signing

Edinson Cavani already has his sights set on his next club - just days after signing for Manchester United.

The Uruguay international joined on a frantic deadline day at Old Trafford, along with compatriot Facundo Pellestri and Alex Telles.

It followed his departure from Paris St-Germain, where he spent seven years and became their highest-ever goalscorer.

His arrival at United came as a shot out the blue.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been desperate to sign him for sometime, insisting his experience will be vital.

However, the striker is already thinking about where his next club will - just days after signing for the Red Devils.

Prior to his move to Old Trafford, Boca Juniors chief Juan Roman Riquelme tried to sign him for his club.

And the former Napoli hitman admitted he would love to play for the Argentine outfit one day.

Cavani told ESPN: “Roman wrote to me with great respect, he wanted to know how I was in this situation, with a very particular salary and we had a very respectful talk.

“Boca is a giant of the world, any footballer would like to play there.

“There have been several Uruguayans that have played there. Following the history of our football arouses curiosity a bit.

“There are some secrets from the conversation with Roman, you have to ask him if he wants to tell them. We will see what happens in the future.

“It would be very nice to be able to play at Boca one day.”

Cavani will earn £10m from his one-year contract at United - but there is an option to extend that by another season.

And Solskjaer will be counting on the 33-year-old to provide the goods after coming in for some pressure in the early stages of the season.

The day before Cavani signed, United were handed a thrashing by Tottenham in a 6-1 result at Old Trafford.

It has seen Mauricio Pochettino strongly linked with a move to the Red Devils to take over from Solskjaer.
