Cute Edinburgh Zoo rhino bashes into fences after getting head stuck in bucket

A clumsy rhinoceros at Edinburgh Zoo was seen clattering into fences and walls surrounding his enclosure - after getting his head stuck inside a bucket.

The klutzy mammal - named Qabid - was captured on video with the object covering his eyes as keepers went to feed him.

Qabid’s handlers spotted the greater one-horned rhinoceros meandering around his enclosure and bumping into the surrounding walls.

In a hilarious video uploaded to Twitter, the rhino eventually manages to shake the bucket off his horn, despite initially struggling.

Qabid arrived at Edinburgh Zoo from Planckendael in Belgium in 2018 and is one of two young rhinos cared for at the facility as part of a breeding programme.

The greater one-horned rhinoceros has vulnerable status among global conservation efforts, despite once being commonly found across the Indian subcontinent.

Estimates put the current population in the wild at between 2-3,000, but hundreds of others are currently in captivity.
