Edinburgh yob sparks outrage by relieving himself on shop's table and chairs

The owner of a busy Edinburgh doughnut shop had hit out on social media after a man was caught on CCTV urinating outside the entrance to one of their stores.

Kilted Donut's venue in Stockbridge was targeted by the mindless act over the weekend, with members of staff forced to clean down and sanitise the whole area before opening.

As well as having their little shop in Stockbridge, the company also have a second venue on Great Junction Street, Leith.

Known for their mouth-watering fresh and unique takes on one of the world's most popular sugary snack, Kilted Donut have become a roaring success in the capital since the opening of their first venue.

Keeping their fans guessing, the team also change up the options on offer every week, with interchanging flavours and every doughnut made fresh the same day.

However, on Saturday night, someone made the decision to use their front door as a public toilet.

The team posted the video on Instagram, cutting it off just before the person revealed themselves, saying: "We love our new home in Stockbridge. Please don't pee on us."

Unfortunately for the person responsible, they performed the act right in front of the store's CCTV camera.

Speaking on the incident further, the store said: "We love our new home in Stockbridge, everyone has been very welcoming and we are starting to feel like part of the community.

"Our camera sometimes picks up the local wild life, foxes and cats. Every now and again we get people hiding from the rain. This is the first time we have had our shop used as a toilet, the person urinated on our table and chairs.

"Our staff had the unpleasant job of having to clean and sanitise them in the morning."

With the store location almost being a secret for those who aren't familiar with it, the video certainly seems to point towards the person knowing what they were doing and where they were doing it.
