Edinburgh weather: A wet Wednesday afternoon forecast but not the worst day ever

Edinburgh is set for a spell of wet weather on Wednesday afternoon – but it shouldn't be the worst day we've ever seen.

Forecasters at the Met Office reckon showers could start around 1pm but they shouldn't last any longer than an hour.

There's likely to be plenty of cloud, and some sun, in the morning before things turn a little more miserable around lunchtime.

Conditions should then improve from around 2pm onwards with some sunshine a possibility.

Temperatures should be around 8C for the most part.
