Edinburgh train passengers warned 'don't travel today' after major railway fault

Edinburgh train passengers have been issued a travel warning after a train track snapped.

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) announced to their customers that there are a number of cancellations and disruptions to travel after following a broken rail on a major line. Due to the incident at Colton Junction on Sunday, May 21, no trains have been able to run between Doncaster and York.

This means that there are a number of cancellations to services across the route and passengers are being strongly advised 'not to travel' today' following the disruption.
