Edinburgh road crash leaves man injured as emergency services rush to scene

A car was badly damaged following a one-vehicle crash on one of Edinburgh's busiest roads.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a smash on the A90 – between Cramond Bridge and Dalmeny – on Sunday evening.

The Daily Record reports that one man is believed to have sustained a leg injury and was treated by medics, however the extent of these injuries are unknown.

Drivers reported around 7.30pm that the road had come to a standstill, close to the B924 junction heading to South Queensferry and Dalmeny.

Photographs posted to the Fife Jammer Locations Facebook page show the black vehicle badly damaged, with a small group of people standing nearby.

Police say just one vehicle was involved.

A spokesperson said : "Officers attended a one vehicle crash on A90 between Cramond Bridge and Dalmeny at 7.15pm on Sunday, 8 August."
