Pizza Geeks have officially opened their second permanent residence in Edinburgh with the launch of 'The Tardis' in Leith.
Housed in the former East Pizza premises at 7 Commercial Street, Pizza Geeks will be doing what they do best - slinging hand crafted Neapolitan pizzas with a suitably nerdy twist.
Describing their latest venture as their 'new rebel base of operations', the restaurant will be selling the former pop-up's well-known pizzas alongside local craft beers and cocktails from Cask Smugglers (where Pizza Geeks have a kitchen residency).
They wrote on Instagram of the opening: "We’ve come a long way in the 5 years since Pat and Fin scrabbled together all their spare doubloons and bought our first pizza oven and watched some pizza videos on YouTube."
Pizzas include The Super Mario (tomato base, mozzarella, pepperoni, mushrooms and fresh basil), The Shire (tomato base, blue cheese, mushrooms, parmentier potatoes, red onions, black olives, garlic and rosemary oil) and The Millennium Chicken (tomato base, mozzarella, pulled chicken breast, red onions, mixed peppers and BBQ sauce).
Owners Patrick Ward and Finlay Clarkson also have a venue in Haymarket ('The Mothership').
