Edinburgh gets plush new cocktail bar and restaurant in prime city centre spot

Edinburgh is set to see a brand new cocktail bar and restaurant open just in time for Christmas.

'The Daiquiri' has announced it will be opening to guests on Friday (December 17) for some festive food and drinks after being under construction for a few months.

Located at 83 Morrison Street, the bar has taken over the former site of Ishka restaurant, which has also been Les Amis and Murray's Tool Store over the years.

Although still to officially open, Daiquiri have teased customers with some snippets of what they can expect at the weekend, from plush cocktails to a stunning interior.

Images shared by staff have shown the bar to have a sleek red and black themed interior, with the bar surrounded by red mood lighting.

The bar itself also looks to be a good size, with a number of stools sitting around it that appear to be separate from the restaurant.

The menu is also yet to be shared, however pictures have been released of some of the cocktails on offer, which seem to include some martinis, frozen margaritas and the classics such as a mojito.

Speaking on their Instagram, The Daiquiri said:
