Edinburgh emergency services scramble to 'disturbance' in residential area

Emergency services have rushed to a residential area following reports of a 'disturbance'.

Police officers raced to a flat on Dumbiedykes Road on Monday evening (May 1) after being made aware of a disturbance at around 5.35pm.

Eyewitnesses report officers taping off the area just off Holyrood Road as more police were arriving at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance at a property on Dumbiedykes Road in Edinburgh shortly after 5.35pm on Monday, 1 May.

“Officers remain at the scene.”
