Edinburgh EH6 Festival cancelled as headliners Pigeon Detectives pull out due to Covid

A festival in Edinburgh has been cancelled due to the headliners pulling out of their set after a positive coronavirus result.

The Pigeon Detectives, an English rock band, have had to pull out of their set at the Edinburgh festival, due to one of their band members testing positive for Covid.

The organisers have posted on their Facebook page, stating: "Really sorry to announce that tomorrow - Saturday 27 of EH6 of Festival is cancelled because our headliners The Pigeon Detectives have had to cancel last minute due to one of the band getting covid-19.

"Any tickets will be refunded, Irvine Welsh’s set will be going ahead as usual - check tomorrow for details and tonight will be going ahead as planned.

"Apologies for the inconvenience, unfortunately this was totally out of our control."
