An Edinburgh dad has launched a fundraising drive after losing his daughter at just 13 years old.
Dave Cullen, a local photographer, tragically lost his daughter Charlotte in July, after suffering with the rare condition microcephaly.
Microcephaly is a condition that can be diagnosed before or after birth in which a baby's head is much smaller than normal. With no specific treatment for the condition, the life expectancy in those who have it is significantly reduced.
After years of ill health, Dave told Edinburgh Live that he wants to give back to the organisations that went above and beyond to care for Charlotte since she was born.
Over the last few months, Dave has began to fill a book of 50 pence coins, in the hope that they can become a collectors item and will be sold for a significant sum.
He said: "I have been hunting for coins throughout this year - I have swapped and bought a few coins to fill a book of 50ps.

"I have managed to collect all them except four, these four coins I know no one will donate to the book, however I am looking and asking to you all if anyone knows anyone, links etc that will do me a deal so that once I complete the book I can auction it of and raise money for the children's hospital.
"The four I would love to complete the book are : 2009 Kew (The Holy Grail), 2018 Shield, 2020 Shield and the 2020 Team GB Olympic."
All proceeds from the book will be given to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, as well as the CHAS charity who gave the Charlotte and her family "precious memories" during their time there.
