Edinburgh city centre getting Stranger Things themed pop-up cocktail bar

By Iuliia Vlasova

An Edinburgh cocktail bar with a passion "for all things geeky" has announced its new themed drinks menu inspired by the popular Netflix period supernatural thriller series Stranger Things.

Launching the new menu on Wednesday, June 8, The Cocktail Geeks are promising to bring something strange to Edinburgh as they turn the world upside down.

Starting accepting bookings for the sci-fi drinks nights, the bar's team said: "Join us as our world turns upside down with dark twists on classic 80's cocktails, Hard Shakes and Boozy I-Scream floats."

Located on Arch 14, 27 E Market St, the unique cocktail bar is one of the locals' top choices for an outstanding atmosphere and distinctive take on drinks. Taking to Google Maps to review the place, the local guide Luke said: "Absolutely awesome! We had a lovely time there with my partner.

"We had a few drinks and got to chat with one of the owners, who was engaging and told us about some of our favourite drinks from the evening. It was refreshing to talk to someone who is clearly so passionate about what they do."

Another excited customer, Flik, said: "Lovely little place with very friendly and helpful staff. Three of us went through the entire Witcher menu over two days, and we all came out with different favourite drinks.

"There's something for everyone here! We're looking forward to the next theme. Thank you so much for a great time!"

Every three months, the bar changes its theme, meaning that its whole menu will change, bringing new flavours to visitors' tables and immersing them into a different pop-culture world.

The current theme, served until May 29, celebrates Heroes & Villains from every known universe.

Visit the bar's website to book a table.
