Rush hour commuters are facing chaos after a crash on the Edinburgh City Bypass.
The collision took place on the A720 west bound at Lothianburn at around 7.15am on Wednesday.
Traffic Scotland warned drivers to expect delays as traffic was initially building back to Straiton.
The crash blocked one lane causing build up over rush hour.
While the lane has now been cleared traffic is still delayed as far back as Gilmerton.
Police are on the scene.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area if possible.
