Edinburgh care home needs drawings and letters sent to their isolated residents

As care homes across the country go on lockdown amid the current coronavirus crisis, the residents who stay in these facilities are faced with no visitors due to being part of a high-risk group.

Now, a home in Penicuik are asking for people to send in drawings and letters via email to their isolated residents so that they can feel that people out there are thinking of them.

Aaron House will print out and display anything sent to the home's dedicated email address for the well wishers and many people who have seen the original post on Facebook are keen to help out.

One user wrote: "I think the email is such a lovely idea - my kids would be happy to send something in!"

With schools closing across the country from tomorrow sending a letter to someone who needs it may be the perfect way to keep wee ones occupied.

If you'd like to send something to the residents of Aaron House email your letter or drawing to: aaronhouse@newcenturycare.co.uk.
