A flight heading to Edinburgh Airport has declared a mid-air emergency.
The plane was travelling to the capital from Antalya, Turkey, when a 7700 squawk code was issued, signalling an emergency onboard, reports the Scottish Sun.
The commonly used distress code is communicated in an extreme situation, usually instructed by the captain, to clearly inform all tracking ground controllers that the aircraft has an emergency and should be given assistance.

The SunExpress flight XQ598 was due to land in Edinburgh around 1pm, having left the popular Turkish holiday destination around 7:30 am on Tuesday morning, June 21.
The online Planefinder tracker website shows the plane diverting into Frankfurt Airport.
The budget airline have only recently started operating in and out of Scotland, with their flights to Turkey only launching in April 2022.
SunExpress have been approached for comment.
Earlier in the month, an easyJet flight from Crete to Edinburgh declared a similar emergency when the captain took unwell onboard.
A passenger onboard reported seeing them enter the toilet and not returning, sparking a heavy emergency service presence to meet the aircraft when it landed in the capital.
