An important warning has been issued by Edinburgh Airport to its customers, making them aware of possible disruption on the roads due to a local festival.
The city airport posted an update onto their social media accounts, writing on Facebook: "Please be aware that traffic around the airport may be a little bit ‘Idles’ between 26 – 28th of August due to Connect Festival taking place at the Royal Highland Centre on those dates."

The 'Idles' was a light-hearted joke made by the Airport in reference to one of Friday's headliners at Connect festival, located at the Royal Highland Centre. The festival is set to begin tonight, with big headliners such as The Chemical Brothers, Jon Hopkins and The National taking to the stage across this weekend.
Road users are being asked to plan ahead for their journey if they are heading in the direction of the Royal Highland Centre, or Edinburgh Airport, as the roads will be busy with festival-goers and holidaymakers.

Earlier today, Edinburgh Live reported that Connect Festival will be beginning today at the capitals Royal Highland Centre. The festival, taking place across this weekend, is set to launch with musicians, comedians and public speakers alike, in an all-new format.
