Eden Hazard explains transfer decision amid PSG's interest in signing former Chelsea star

Former Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has admitted that French Giants Paris Saint-Germain have previously tried on multiple occasions to sign him, but loyalty to his former club has stopped him completing a move.

Hazard arrived at Stamford Bridge from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2012, after coming through the youth system at the French club. The Belgian spent seven years at Chelsea, before completing a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer.

The Blues had previously seen off interest in their talisman, and Hazard himself has now confirmed that a return to France could have been an option.

Speaking of Paris Saint-Germain's interest, Hazard told L'Equipe (via Get French Football News ) that there is only one club he'd return to France for.

“They have often wanted to sign me," he said.

"I did not want to come back to Ligue 1 and in another club that is not Lille. I have always said no to them.

"In my head, it was clear… They (PSG) are a club that could win the Champions’ League… If I come back to Ligue 1, it will be to Lille.”

Hazard has scored one goal and provided four assists in his 11 appearances so far at Real Madrid, after injury delayed the start to his season.

The Belgian made 352 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 110 goals, including two in his last ever appearance for the Blues in the Europa League final win over Arsenal.
