Ed Balls: Starmer’s reshuffle makes government seem ‘chaotic’

  • Ms Cooper's frustration stemmed from being shifted out of the Home Office just as she was making progress on tackling migration issues, he said.
  • Mr Balls, a former Labour Cabinet minister, criticised Sir Keir Starmer's reshuffle, saying it made the government appear "chaotic" and hindered delivery.
  • In her first act as foreign secretary, Ms Cooper travelled to Kyiv to signal the UK's unwavering support for Ukraine.
  • During her visit, she announced £142 million in UK aid for Ukraine, comprising £100 million for civilian support and £42 million for energy infrastructure protection.
