EasyJet launches new flight route from Liverpool Airport to popular resort

EasyJet has said it will launch a new route from Liverpool to another popular Turkish resort, starting in spring 2020.

The budget airline will operate flights from John Lennon Airport (JLA) to Antalya, a port city in the south of the country, becoming the 33rd destination on its Liverpool network.

Flights will operate weekly on Thursdays throughout the summer, joining routes already available between Liverpool and Turkey - to Dalaman and Bodrum.

easyJet said the new route to Antalya is expected to prove popular with those seeking a cultural getaway, the port city offering an "abundance of historic attractions", and situated on what is known as the Turquoise Coast for its stunning blue waters.

John Irving, CEO for JLA, said: “We are delighted to see easyJet add a further new route to their expanding network from Liverpool.

“We expect Antalya to prove popular with the region’s holidaymakers who can now take advantage of our award winning Faster, Easier, Friendlier approach to the passenger experience, helping to get their holiday from here off to a great start.”
