The Eastside Awards is an exciting initiative aimed at highlighting and celebrating all that is good about East Belfast, whilst showcasing the contributions being made to the economic, social and community development of the area.
Belfast Live are delighted to be partnering up with the Eastside Awards as their official media partner and we are calling for nominations for the Eastside Awards Post-Primary Teacher of the year 2020 category.
We are inviting teachers, principals, pupils, former pupils and parents to nominate a teacher who in their knowledge has made a positive contribution to a school experience and to the provision of Education in East Belfast.
Eligibility
The Awards are open to any head, member of the senior management team or teacher in an establishment currently providing education services to post-primary students in East Belfast or the Greater East Belfast Area.
To be eligible the teacher should be currently teaching in an East Belfast school and should have at least one year of experience of teaching in an East Belfast school.
For these awards East Belfast will include everything up to the Holywood Exchange roundabout, Dundonald, East side of Ravenhill Road to its Saintfield Road junction, Gilnahirk, Hillfoot and Titanic Quarter.
Nominations
Nominations can be made using the below form and the top three teachers with the most nominations will be announced along with the other shortlisted finalists in Mid-November. The winner, with the most nominations, will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday, January 24 2020.
