Easter weekend heat looks set to return for first May Bank Holiday

The countdown is on until the next Bank Holiday weekend, with memories of that glorious four days we had over the Easter perioud just gone.

And next Monday, May 6, is looking very promising for those hoping to make the most once again.

Temperatures will hit 19C - the hottest of the next 10 days according to The Weather Channel , though there will be some cloud around for much of the day.

The Sunday before doesn't look too bad either, with highs of 16C and a lot more sunshine - good for those with plans to venture out to watch this year's Tour de Yorkshire cycle race.

Until then it looks set to be a tad nippy out there. Friday will be the coldest day with measly highs of just 11C. And Wednesday and Thursday will be wet days for Leeds with rain on the forecast.

Make it through the week and make the most of that longer weekend, there are six days of showers forecast from the Wednesday (May 8) onwards.
