EastEnders stars Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright return to set after coronavirus outbreak

Soap actors Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright have returned to the EastEnders set after the BBC show's coronavius outbreak.

Danny - who plays Mick Carter - and Kellie - famed for portraying Linda Carter - were both pictured outside the Borehamwood studio on Monday.

The stars - who arrived separately and have both tested negative for Covid-19 - looked ready for work as they strolled into their workplace.

Danny, 43, was seen donning a face mask as he hopped out of his flashy Porsche after having his temperature taken upon entering the premises.

Kellie, 44, was dropped to set in a people carrier and she looked relaxed a she walked along in a baggy pink jumper teamed with jeans.

Their return to the Albert Square set comes after the soap's assistant director, Joe Nugent, reportedly took a coronavirus test after feeling unwell but continued to work alongside the cast for another two days.

His Covid-19 test result then came back as positive.

Nugent is believed to have kept quiet about his coronavirus symptoms at the time, and stars of the show were "livid" when they discovered the news.

According to The Sun, the cast then threatened a "mutiny" over the serious safety failure amid concerns for their health.

The publication then claims that Nugent was swiftly sacked from his role as bosses desperately tried to appease the tense situation.

Following Nugent's time on set, television bosses confirmed that a member of cast also tested positive.

The cast and crew were then reportedly sent an email that urged them to be mindful of keeping other safe following the on-set Covid-19 cases.
