EastEnders actress Zaraah Abrahams has teased that history could repeat itself with Chelsea Fox amid a new romance.
Chelsea was manipulated and abused by her ex Gray Atkins, who is now in prison after being caught by the police. Gray murdered a number of people and was finally put behind bars, allowing Chelsea to move on with her life.
However, she finds herself in another predicament soon - and she ends up being set up on a date with Keanu, as her mum tries to help her find a new man, whilst Ravi - who is also pursuing Denise - has also shown an interest in her.
Asked who her character might go for, Zaraah shared: "I think Ravi. He lends more to her history in terms of his ‘bad boy’ image, even though she thinks she would like a really soft and kind-hearted person."
Despite her going on a date with Keanu, Ravi is still keen to get to know her more and carry on whatever they've got going on.
"It gives Chelsea a bit of a confidence boost and it makes her feel like she should really think about the choices that are offered to her. It makes her feel like she’s still got it!" she explained of Chelsea's reaction to it.
Elsewhere, Keanu and Ravi are heavily involved with two women caught in the Christmas 'murder' storyline.
A body is found at Christmas 2023, but we are yet to find out who it belongs to - and how they died.
Soap boss Chris Clenshaw teased ahead of the dramatic scenes: "Denise’s marriage to Jack is crumbling and local-villain Ravi has had his eye on her for weeks now – but how long can she resist temptation?
"Expect explosive action when Jack discovers what’s been going on. And just as quickly as Sharon and Keanu reunited, she discovered that he and Sam have history too, leaving Sharon newly single. However, as we know, Sharon’s wearing a wedding dress at Christmas, so watch out for many twists, turns, and plenty of heartbreak along the way."
Of Linda and Suki's struggles, he added: "Linda’s world has been thrown upside down by seeing a photo of Shirley with Dean, but she’s forced to focus on who her new business partner will be or face losing her home. Both Sharon and Nish are hoping to get the keys to the castle, but her knight in shining armour may not be who you think.
"Suki’s struggling in her marriage with Nish and is desperately trying to convince herself that she doesn’t have feelings for Eve. As the year progresses, Suki will uncover truths, have her relationships tested but ultimately her secret could push her to the extreme."
EastEnders airs on BBC One from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm.
