This Morning fans were surprised to see the mum of a big EastEnders star on the ITV show today.
As part of the ITV mid-morning show today, Lisa Snowdon hosted a fashion segment which showed viewers how best to use trousers and style them as a key piece in everyone's wardrobes. They looked through different side stripes styles as well as wide leg ones too.
But one of the models in the segment was recognised as the mum of a very famous soap star. Julia wowed in a French inspired look, which Lisa described as "Parisian chic" as she walked up and down the catwalk.
"This is a you look Ruth," she told Ruth Langsford, "A perfect cropped tapered trouser with the split, absolutely lovely.
As she told viewers where they could buy the look from, Lisa also revealed they had shapewear built into them and they lift, shape and sculpt you. However, Julia didn't seem as keen on them as Lisa was but felt they were helping with her confidence.
She said: "You said you'd never wear a pant like this," as Julia admitted: "I don't like my legs. I feel like they're doing the right thing," as she gestured to explain they were holding her in all the right places.
"They're a staple, a black trouser you can wear with anything," Rylan said as the camera panned over the outfit.
As Julia exited the in-studio catwalk, it finally dawned on viewers who she was related to. Julia is the mother of EastEnders actress Maisie Smith, and is heavily involved in the TV world herself.
In fact, just recently, Julia was seen filming scenes for episodes of the BBC One soap. She was spotted as extra on location filming for the programme in Southend, as Jean Slater struggled with her bipolar.
Julia has always been a great support for Maisie - who is reportedly dating her Strictly Come Dancing co-star Max George - especially during the show, when the Covid pandemic forced family to be absent from filming.
"As a parent, it's not about her winning, it's not about her being at the top of the leaderboard in my eyes, in my opinion. It's seeing my daughter upset and vulnerable," Julia had previously said of her daughter's stint on the show.
"In the early days me and my husband were allowed to sit in the audience …and she would look over and we would give her a big thumbs-up and she said she misses that. Knowing that we're nowhere near, I feel her vulnerability, so it has been quite tearful."
