Ashvin Luximon, who starred in EastEnders, has died aged 38.
The former soap star died from an aneurism on July 23, his family said. They paid tribute to a 'loving son, brother and friend'.
Ashvin was best known for playing Asif Malik on the long-running BBC soap from 1999 to 2003. He also made appearances in Grange Hill and Hope and Glory and starred in promotional videos for British Airways.
His family have set up a page to remember him and raise money for charity. "This site is a tribute to Ash, who passed on the July 23, 2022, due to an aneurysm," they wrote on the page.
"Ash's unexpected passing has hit us all hard, but we want to take the time to remember his larger-than-life spirit. He loved and was loved by so many.
"He sang a mean karaoke tune and had a voice loud enough to hear from space. He brought laughter and the best cuddles."
His funeral took place on August 11, with friends and family asked not to wear black and to wear colour to 'celebrate his life'. In place of flowers, mourners were asked to donate to charities including the NSPCC and men's suicide prevention organisation Andy's Man Club.
