EastEnders' Phil Mitchell on revenge spree as he kidnaps Ben's rapist and prepares to kill

Phil Mitchell is hellbent on getting revenge for son Ben on EastEnders as he kidnaps rapist Lewis and prepares to kill him. But will he really go through with it? And how will Ben react?

Last week, Ben took an overdose as he continued to secretly struggle to cope with the rape. Thankfully, Kathy, Callum and Jay found him but his life was hanging by a thread as he was rushed to hospital.

After Phil discovered that Sam knew about Ben taking drugs and allowed it to happen, he declared that she was no longer part of the family. However, she is determined to get back into his good graces again.

Next week, Ben is discharged from hospital, but it's clear to Phil that there's a long road ahead. Hoping to help his son heal, Phil meets with Keeble and questions whether they'll be able to get Lewis behind bars.

Meanwhile, Sam attempts to use Kat in order to get through to Phil, but she refuses to get involved. Frustrated, Sam decides to leave Walford and asks her for the code to get into the safe and retrieve her passport.

Kat tells her not to take anything else, but as Sam gets ready to go, she receives a call from Zack saying that he's found Lewis. The pair drive off to get Lewis as Sam has the gun tucked into her bag.
