EastEnders' Peter and Dotty to team up and take down Ian Beale over killer secret?

EastEnders could be about to air the beginning of the end for Ian Beale, after his killer secret comes under threat.

Viewers will recall back in February he played a part in the death of Dennis Rickman, although it was unintentional.

After learning teenager Dennis, son of his best friend Sharon Watts, was behind the online bullying of his own son Bobby Beale, he wanted to teach him a lesson.

Ian locked Dennis in a room on the lower deck of the boat that Walford residents were partying on.

Of course it took a tragic turn when the boat crashed, thanks to Phil Mitchell and Keanu Taylor's deadly showdown.

Dennis was trapped in the room which was filling with water and Ian considered leaving him behind, before going back for him.

Tragically despite Ian freeing him, Dennis drowned leaving his loved ones heartbroken.

His colleague at The Arches Dotty Cotton soon made an alarming discovery though, thanks to a voicemail message Dennis accidentally left on the work phone - pleading for his life, and confirming what Ian had done.

She began to blackmail him, only for Ian to find the phone with the evidence and destroy it.

Since then, Dotty has tried to find a way to expose Ian for what he did, with Vinny Panesar also knowing what really happened.

Despite her vendetta against the Beale matriarch, things will hot up between her and his son Peter.

He initially warned her away from his family after she kept asking questions about Ian and the crash, while she also broke his younger brother Bobby's heart - leading to him taking drugs that she was selling at the club.

But Peter and Dotty share a kiss on Monday, leading to her doing a runner.

They soon get intimate again though in the next episode and decide to take their relationship to the next level.

Dotty, prior to this, tells Peter she wants nothing to do with his family - knowing what she knows.

But they can't resist one another, and after flirting with him the pair have a steamy smooch.

Ian catches on to them though and is appalled - wanting her well away from his family.

But will he push her too far, and will she tell Peter the truth?

It's clear she likes him, so could she spill the beans and tell him the secret she is hiding about his dad?

Peter had confronted him before about the crash and made it clear he wouldn't cover for him - especially given the last family secret was the cover-up of Bobby killing their sister Lucy.

So if Peter does learn the truth, we wouldn't be surprised if he and Dotty exposed Ian for once and for all - and knowing soap land, secrets don't stay hidden forever...

EastEnders airs Mondays at 8pm, and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
