EastEnders' Louisa Lytton says return to soap is 'up in the air' after having a baby

EastEnders star Louisa Lytton says her potential return to the soap is "up in the air".

The actress, 33, who gave birth to Aura in August last year, said her daughter is her "priority".

Louisa, who played the soap villain Ruby Allen, says that she had "always dreamed" of being a mum and that she had to wait a long time to be one.

After she was asked by the Daily Star when she was planning on returning to the show, she said: "I'm not sure at the moment everything is still up in the air, I just don't know, now I've had a baby that's my priority."

Speaking about motherhood, she said: "It's given me more confidence as a person obviously, once you can look after a human being, you're like, well, I can do anything."

Louisa, who recently displayed her slim figure on her Instagram account, said that she hadn't given her post-baby body much thought.

The new mum added that she put snapping back down to being so active and busy, rather than going to a gym.

"Running around after her - I've not really thought about it, this is not something I've worked on, I genuinely do not have the time."

Louise also confessed to not watching the soap, adding that she doesn't have time to watch any TV at all.

She said that she watched it before she returned to the show after a 15 year break, and that she always tuned in for the Christmas Day special.

The actress said that after waiting a long time to be a mum, she was soaking up every second.

Sharing a beachside snap of her holding Aura in Brighton, Louisa wrote: "Happy Mothers Day to my mum to her mum to all mums where ever you are, near or far. To those to be and those still on your journey."

Earlier this year she took her daughter on her first holiday to celebrate her 33rd birthday.

"I’ve realised why being on holiday with a baby actually feels a bit easier than being at home . . No housework. No chores. No cooking. No washing.

"No changing the beds. Meaning more precious time to just sit and play or chat, more cuddles.

"Was very nervous before coming away but feel very fortunate that we could. People will scare you with ‘it will never be the same’ ‘you can’t relax’ (and you can’t).

"But it becomes a new form of holiday enjoyment, one big sensory overload."
