Eastenders killer Gray Atkins stood up as cast film 'double wedding scenes'

There’s no such thing as a quiet Christmas when it comes to Eastenders and it looks like this year is going to be a big one.

In fact, new snaps show that there’s going to be wedding bells in Walford - and a possible showdown involving murderer Gray Atkins (Toby Alexander-Smith).

The slimy lawyer-turned-serial killer has been making several of the residents suspicious over recent weeks, with his anger getting the better of him more and more.

But as he reaches boiling point, is he about to kill someone on the wedding day of Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen)?

A bunch of Albert Square regulars were seen filming at a plush country manor - with Denise looking every inch the stunning bride in a classically stylish form-fitting cream dress and matching jacket.

Sister Kim (Tameka Epsom) was on hand to provide more than a little bit of colour in a fuchsia fluffy coat and a multi-coloured dress.

However, there doesn’t appear to be any sign of Denise’s daughter, Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams), but her on/off boyfriend Gray is seen standing outside looking frantic making phone calls.

He's also dressed in a smart suit and it's been reported that it's a double wedding, but Gray is stood up by his blushing bride.

Pacing back and forth in front of the venue, Gray’s agitated behaviour soon catches the eye of Kheerat (Jaz Deol).

In recent weeks, Chelsea has just split from Gray after his angry temperament finally reared its ugly head in front of her.

However, she discovers this week that she’s pregnant - and opts to hide it from the father-to-be until she decides what she wants to do.

Gray is not a man who takes discovering secrets too well… as has been proven multiple times in the BBC soap.

The character has killed three soap favourites - starting with his wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) who he had been abusing in a hard-hitting storyline.

Shoving her into an open dishwasher and onto an upturned knife when he discovered she was leaving him, he managed to stage it as an accident.

He’s since killed Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) and disposed of her body, and shoved Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) in front of a tube train in a fit of jealousy over his relationship with the object of his obsession, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).

But while he thinks he’s scot-free, several of Walford’s regulars are beginning to get suspicious of his behaviour - not least of which Jack.

However, if he’s surrounded with getting his wedding to go ahead smoothly, will he actually manage to stop Gray before he does anything rash?

Whitney, who is set to sleep with Gray next week and start a new romance with him, is also missing from the nuptials. Maybe it’s her that’s actually giving him reason to be concerned?

With the twisted killer speeding from the venue in a taxi, it remains to be seen who he’s going to see - and what his intent is.

How the events truly unfold remain to be seen with just two months away before Christmas day.

But it looks like the net is closing in on Gray, who has been confirmed to be leaving the soap in the near future.

Could this be his final hurrah?

Just another jolly holiday season in the East End, then!
