EastEnders viewers think they’ve rumbled Ben Mitchell’s mystery guy and potential love interest, and the real reason he’s targeting dad Phil.
Ben returned to Walford in April a year on from his exit, now played by actor Max Bowden, and it was clear he was hiding something.
It was soon confirmed he, with the help of Lola Pearce, was planning on fleecing his dad Phil, taking him down for once and for all after believing he’s never been there for him.
He was shocked though to learn Phil was having financial woes, but this hasn’t stopped him meddling with the family still out to get his father.

EastEnders fans predict huge baby twist with Louise AND Sharon pregnant
Recent scenes though have hinted someone else is involved, with a mystery man texting Ben which read: “Last night was hot, more later?”
With the only information to go on being that his name was noted down as “pecs guy”, fans have been wondering who it could be.
Now, some viewers have predicted there’s a huge twist on the cards, and that Ben’s dead ex Luke Browning could be about to return to help him take down Phil.

Luke was murdered by villain Aidan Maguire after Phil told Aidan to deal with him, with Luke having beaten Ben.
Phil didn’t want him murdered, and even took down Aidan once he discovered what had happened, but could Luke blame him?
Luke, sister Fi and their father James Willmott-Brown were out to get Walford and Phil, trying to fleece them out of their businesses, so could Luke have faked his death and now be back to claim what he believes is his?

Other fans have wondered if Luke’s brother Josh Hemmings could be taking over from his late brother’s villainous ways, with the hunk tipped to be the mystery “pecs”, and the actor who plays him even retweeted suspicion of this, so could this be a hint?
One fan tweeted: “I’m thinking that Luke is near by watching everything unfold & Ben is his front man because both Ben & Luke have unfinished business with Phil & the square!”
A second agreed: “#eastenders said it would be an unexpected twist for Ben Mitchell and Phil Mitchell maybe Luke Browning is alive and he and Ben plan to get back at Phil.”
Another stated: “Could pecs guy be Josh Hemmings? Ben has been financially backed by some one external of the Square I've got a strong feeling it’s the Brownings!”
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
