EastEnders 'confirms' Rose Knight's true identity with huge clue

EastEnders fans were left on the edge of their seats after the BBC soap appeared to 'confirm' the true identity of Rose Knight after one telling comment.

Viewers have been coming up with various theories since it was confirmed that there is something odd about Rose Knight's 'disappearance'.

Many are convinced that new arrival George – played by Colin Salmon – had something to do with Rose's 'death' but whatever the secret is, there is set to be a big reveal in Wednesday night and Thursday night's episodes.

However, many fans of the BBC soap seem to think the real identity of the woman has already been given away after a telling comment during one episode of the show, as Callum makes his own investigations into her disappearance.

Callum has been delving into the Knight's history, and whilst he can only see a few things about George Knight, some minor misdemeanours, he can't find anything about Rose Knight, with the information classified, even for someone of his level in the force.

Later, DCI Nicholls from the Serious Crime Organisation headed to his flat to quiz him on what he knew.

"We need to discuss your searches," she told him, before adding: "Sounds to me like we're not keeping you busy enough if you've got time to look into things that have nothing to do with you. I can't see why you'd have any interest in Rose Knight."

Linda said Callum looked 'like he'd seen a ghost' (BBC)

She then warned him not to look any further into the case.

She added: "If I was you, I'd forget you even know her name. Try anything like this again and you won't be able to use the coffee machine without clearance," which left Callum stunned.

Callum then rushed over to the Queen Vic to tell Phil when he was stopped by Linda who told him he looked "like he'd seen a ghost". He looked terrified as she asked him to stay for a drink whilst they waited for Phil, with him asking for a large one.

And fans have come up with a theory that Rose Knight could really be Cindy Beale, played by Michelle Collins, who was thought to have died off-screen during childbirth on November 5, 1998. This would then relate to the comment about a 'ghost', according to some viewers, with them now sure that Rose is really Cindy and she has been put in witness protection.

One wrote: "Rose's files are denied because she is in witness protection and is CINDY BEALE! #EastEnders."

Another said: "Access Denied. So OFFICIALS have suppressed details on the missing 'Rose Knight'. Starting to smell a LOT like WitSec."

While one penned: "As for 'Rose' if it’s access denied even to Callum, there’s usually a reason, like police protection and there’s a certain police officer who knows what’s going on who could access it. #Eastenders."
