Earn £50,000 by running your own pub in picturesque Cornish town

Fancy living in a picturesque Cornish town and spending your days - and nights - in the pub?

St Austell Brewery is on the look out for talented operators to run two of its Charlestown pubs - a harbour made famous by so many films and TV series, including Poldark.

According to Cornwall Live, the company is looking for experienced pub managers who demonstrate a strong drive for developing customer experience, leading a team, and delivering exceptional retail standards.

The two pubs include the Rashleigh Arms - an award-winning premium pub with 18 stylish yet characterful bedrooms which overlook the historic harbour. Meanwhile, the second location, the Pier House Hotel, is a larger inn with twenty-seven comfy rooms, which also benefits from stunning harbour views.

Being set in such a desirable location overlooking St Austell Bay means the pub welcomes high footfall over the summer, so the ideal candidates will have worked in environments managing high seasonal uplift and have a passion for delivering great experiences all-year round.

A salary between £42,000 and £50,000 per year is being offered for both roles with a comprehensive benefits package.

Tamsyn Allington, People & Communications Director, St Austell Brewery, said: “For many, running a pub is a dream job but it is even more exciting to be offering two opportunities to work in such a silver-screen worthy location.”

“Our people are right at the heart of everything we do, and we’re always on the lookout for passionate and talented pub operators to join our teams and help us deliver unforgettable experiences.

"As a business, we are committed to nurturing and releasing the potential of our people and are proud to be in a position to offer great career opportunities in one of the most beautiful regions of the UK.”

The closing dates for applications is January 25, 2022.
