The NFL draft is still in the future, but that hasn’t stopped the folks at CG Technology from releasing their initial over/under win total projections for all 32 NFL teams.
Consider this a buying opportunity if you’re bullish on the Lions. The initial total is just 7 wins for Detroit in 2019. It’s a slight uptick from the 6-10 finish in 2018. Last year at this time the consensus win projection total for the Lions was 8 games.
That’s the fifth-lowest among NFC teams and handily below the three other teams in the NFC North. The Chicago Bears, who won the division at 12-4 in 2018, are projected at plus/minus 9.5 wins, followed by Green Bay and Minnesota both at 9.
Bet on the figures changing a bit following the NFL draft and any more impactful free agents, as well as any significant injuries that might occur in minicamp or training camp.
