Eamonn Holmes is reportedly “slowing up” his divorce from Ruth Langsford.
The GB News presenter, 65, and Loose Women star, 65, split last year after 14 years of marriage.
He has since moved on with relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 43, and earlier this month treated her to a getaway in Belfast.
It has now been claimed Langsford just “wants the divorce over”and feels her life has been “put on hold” until it's finalised.
“Ruth's pals think Eamonn is slow at coming forward regarding the finances,” a source told The Sun.
“The general feeling is that Eamonn is slowing up the divorce - he's currently in Belfast with Katie introducing her to the wider family, determined to show her how serious he is about her - showing her the life she could have.”
The insider added: “Meanwhile Ruth just wants this divorce over. She's cracking on with her QVC range and everything else, but is constantly reminded this is looming.”
The Standard has contacted representatives for Holmes and Langsford for comment.
Holmes and Langsford confirmed in May 2024 that they were set to divorce after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together.
A spokesperson for the couple said: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."
Holmes went Instagram official in May with counsellor Alexander.
It was recently claimed he disappointed her by failing to buy her £550,000 dream home in her native West Yorkshire earlier this year.
However, Holmes is believed to have been making up for it by treating Alexander to some pricey treats.
The former This Morning star reportedly gifted Alexander VIP tickets to watch his beloved Manchester United take on Fulham.
They were spotted at the Premier League club's new £100 million hospitality stand where they enjoyed Michelin-star food, with tickets costing up to £12,000 each.
He then whisked her off on a romantic weekend getaway to his native Belfast in northern Ireland
Meanwhile, Langsford finally took off her wedding ring in July.
In a cooking video shared on Instagram, she quietly removed her wedding band after leaving it on for more than a year.
