Eamonn Holmes laughs nervously as he gets caught up in some typical Northern Irish traffic

Eamonn Holmes has been given a reminder of life in rural Northern Ireland as he got stuck in some very typical countryside traffic whilst on route to work.

The Belfast man was travelling through Co Fermanagh on Sunday morning when some cows decided they had the right of the road.

The popular TV broadcaster laughed nervously as cows ran past his passenger side door and joined others who were walking in front of the car.

Eamonn can be heard in the video saying: "It's gonna be a long journey!"

Before seeing the cow run past the car adding: "Oh dear God here's another one!"

Posting the video on his Instagram page Eamonn wrote: "Big traffic jam on the way to work this morning ! Fermanagh Rush Hour."

His wife Ruth, who is back home in England had some sound advice for her husband as she commented: "Just chill!"

The TV presenting duo celebrated their 11th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday with Eamonn sending his beloved a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Sharing an unseen picture of them dancing on their wedding day, Ruth posted on Instagram:""Still holding on tight to each other after 25 years…11 of them married today! Happy Anniversary my darling."

Eamonn and Ruth are set to return to hosting duties on This Morning in July for six weeks whilst regular hosts Holly and Phil take a summer break.
