Eagles’ OC Mike Groh confident that the big plays & deep balls will come

The Philadelphia Eagles will head to Dallas on Sunday, optimistic that the best is yet to come for an offense that has been efficient for the most part but has struggled to produce big plays without DeSean Jackson. The Eagles are currently ranked ninth in the NFL in points (26.8) and 20th in total yards per game (349), yet Carson Wentz is only averaging 6.8 yards per attempt, with his longest pass completion coming back in week one to DeSean Jackson, for 53 yards.

On Tuesday, Eagles offensive coordinator, Mike Groh addressed the media and seemed confident that the “big plays would come.”

You can’t fault the Eagles for not trying, as the Birds currently rank 9th in the NFL in passing attempts (220) and 4th in passing touchdowns per Pro Football Reference.

The return of DeSean Jackson will be huge, as he and Miles Sanders have been on the receiving end of the Eagles’ biggest plays this season.
