Eagles agree to 4-year, $72M contract extension with Lane Johnson

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a new four-year, $72 million contract extension with right tackle, Lane Johnson.

The $18 million per season now makes Johnson the highest-paid offensive linemen in NFL history when it comes to average salary per season and the Eagles right tackle now overtakes Trent Brown of the Raiders and Taylor Lewan of the Titans for highest-paid per season per Over The Cap.

The move comes after the Eagles watched the offense fall apart following Johnson leaving the Eagles loss against New England with a head injury. Andre Dillard started at right tackle for Johnson against Seattle and the result was disastrous.
