The game is set to deliver a deep, authentic experience across all 136 FBS schools, capturing the energy and tradition of college football when it launches globally on July 10 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
“Last year, when we brought back the pride, pageantry, atmospheres and traditions of College Football, the response from fans was overwhelming,” said Evan Dexter, VP, Franchise Strategy & Marketing, EA Sports College Football. “With College Football 26, we’re celebrating our sophomore season with two generational sophomore wide receivers on the cover and we can’t wait for the world to experience even more heart and authenticity across athletes, stadiums, coaches and fans. Tune in this Thursday to see what makes it so special.”
Williams and Smith earned their spots on the EA Sports College Football 26 covers after breakout performances in their debut seasons. Williams made an instant impact at Alabama, breaking freshman records with his speed and big-play ability, quickly becoming a fan favorite. Smith played a key role in Ohio State’s championship run, standing out as one of the top receivers in the country thanks to his sharp route-running and clutch moments throughout the season.
The Deluxe Edition cover goes beyond the present, blending today’s stars with the legacy of college football. It features prominent coaches like Ohio State’s Ryan Day, Notre Dame’s Marcus Freeman and Georgia’s Kirby Smart, alongside mascots and standout players including Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik, Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love and Penn State running back Nick Singleton. The cover also nods to the past, bringing back familiar faces like Reggie Bush, Tim Tebow and Denard Robinson, players who helped define the series and left a lasting mark on the game.
