Dylan Levitt seals Hibs transfer as midfielder completes Dundee United exit on three-year deal

Dylan Levitt has sealed his move to Hibs as Lee Johnson takes the Welshman to Edinburgh on a three-year deal.

The former Dundee United man has been the subject of interest from the Hibees after Jim Goodwin's men were relegated to the Scottish Championship last season. It means the the 22-year-old is back in the top flight and joins the Leith side on their pre-season trip to Marbella after talks were held between the two clubs and a deal struck. Levitt leaves the Tangerines after an initial loan spell from Manchester United was followed up by a permanent move last summer.

Hibs have now added to signings such as Max Boruc and Jordan Obita with Levitt's arrival after it was believed a fee of around £500,000 was put on the table by the Tayside outfit. Johnson admits the youngster will add real quality to his squad for the season ahead.

Johnson said: “Dylan adds real quality to our midfield. We have strong competition for places in there now and have a lovely blend of qualities. He joins us with good pedigree, has a great passing range, and will fit seamlessly into our evolving squad.

“We are delighted to have secured his services and look forward to working with him.”
