Dwyane Wade 'crying' as daughter makes her first catwalk appearance in Paris aged 15

Dwyane Wade was left "crying" after his 15-year-old daughter made her first catwalk appearance in Paris.

The former NBA player's eldest daughter Zaya made him proud as she walked for fashion brand Miu Miu at Paris Fashion Week.

Zaya stunned in a brown-green mini sweater dress with matching knit jacket.

Her hair was kept back in a low pony tail and the teen wore minimal makeup as she headed down the runway clutching a brown handbag.

Zaya is one of Dwayne's four children and her mother is the basketball player's ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches-Wade.

Her dad attended the show with Zaya's step-mum actor Gabrielle Union.

The couple sat front row, wearing matching black outfits as they supported Zaya in her first model show.

They shared a joined Instagram post after the show of Zaya walking, captioned: “She's arrived.”

Taking to his Instagram stories, Dwayne shared several photos and clips from the show, including one clip of Zaya on the runway with the caption: “I'm not crying, you are.”

Their stylist Thomas Christos also shared his support for the teen model, writing: "Tears in my eyes as I watched @zayawade make her debut at @miumiu today.

"Thank you @dwyanewade for your endless trust in my vision. And thank you @zayawade for showing me what it means to believe in yourself.”

Zaya Wade came out as transgender in 2020, with full support from her father and stepmother. Her name was legally changed to Zaya just last month, according to People.

She made her first red carpet debut back in 2020 alongside her proud parents in coordinating outfits.

"Me and my wife Gabrielle Union are proud parents of a child in the LGBTQ+ community, and we're proud allies as well," Wade told Ellen DeGeneres.

"We take our roles and responsibility as parents very seriously.

"Zion, born as a boy, came home and said, 'Hey, so I want to talk to you guys. I think going forward I am ready to live my truth. I want to be referenced as 'she' and 'her.' I would love for you guys to call me Zaya'.

"So when our child comes home with a question, when our child comes home with an issue, when our child comes home with anything, it's our job as parents to listen to that and give them the best information that we can, the best feedback that we can.

"And that doesn't change because sexuality is now involved in it."

Union then took to Twitter to introduce Zaya, writing: "Meet Zaya. She's compassionate, loving, whip smart and we are so proud of her. It's Ok to listen to, love & respect your children exactly as they are.

"Love and light good people."
