Dundee police hunt attacker after woman assaulted at bus stop

Police in Dundee are hunting an attacker after a woman was assaulted at a bus stop.

The alleged attack happened on the Coupar Angus Road, near Adamson Court last week.

A police spokesman confirmed the incident happened at about 1.35pm on Monday 8th November.

Officers say a woman was approached by another female near to the bus stop before reportedly being punched in the face.

They said: “Words had been exchanged between both parties immediately beforehand and this may have attracted attention from passers-by.

“We would particularly like to trace another woman who was not involved in any way, but had been waiting at the bus stop and is thought to have witnessed the entire incident.

“If you have any information that could assist us, please call 101 or speak to any police officer. “

Information can also be passed anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.

The incident reference is 1722 of 8th November.
