Former Tottenham and Rangers winger Nathan Oduwa will have a medical with Dundalk today.
The 24-year-old is poised to sign a short-term deal with the League of Ireland champions.
And if he impresses, the Oriel Park club could offer him a longer deal.
Oduwa trained with the Lilywhites for one day last week but had a number of other options on the table.
But after further talks last night, a short-term deal was agreed in principle pending today’s medical.
Oduwa is an England underage international having played at Under-17, Under-18, Under-20 and Under-23 level.
He was most recently with Israeli club Hapoel Hadera but terminated his contract last month and is a free agent.
Oduwa had loan spells with Luton Town, Colchester United, Rangers - for half a season - and Peterborough United.
He then had stints in Slovenia and Denmark before moving to Israel in January 2019.
