Dumfries and Galloway coronavirus figures for Monday, January 25

A further 97 people in Dumfries and Galloway tested positive for coronavirus over the weekend.

It takes the total since the pandemic began to 3,473, with 1,768 cases in 2021.

There were 32 positive cases on Saturday, 40 on Sunday and a further 25 today.

There are currently 67 people being treated in hospital, down from 70 on Friday. The number in intensive care is currently at 12.

Across Scotland there were a further 752 positive cases today, taking the total to 172,953.

2,016 people are in hospital with 151 in intensive care.

A further 81 people have died since Friday, with the tally now at 5,709.
