Dublin Pride Parade 2022: Everything you need to know before massive celebration returns

The Dublin Pride Parade returns in its full glory for the first time since 2019, taking place in the city centre on Saturday, June 25.

Thousands will take to the streets donned in colourful get-ups to celebrate the city's LGBTQ+ community and bring light to issues that members of that community still face today.

If you are planning to attend the 2022 Dublin Pride Parade, here is everything you need to know from start times to the route.

What time does the Dublin Pride Parade start?

The Dublin Pride Parade 2022 starts at 12pm and lasts until 3pm.

What is the Dublin Pride parade 2022 route?

On Saturday, June 25 2022 the Dublin Pride Parade will begin at the Garden of Remembrance. It will then make its way down O'Connell Street, turn onto to Eden Quay and cross the Talbot Memorial Bridge.

It will then make its way down City Quay, turn onto Lombard Street and head to Merrion Square Park where there will be the Pride Village full of family friendly fun.

Can I join the Dublin Pride Parade?

Those who want to take part in the Dublin Pride Parade as an individual or with family and friends do not need to register. You can simply show up on the day and watch from the side or join the march. Organisers ask that any banners brought to the parade and march are respectful and inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community and do not create a safety hazard.

Community groups and charities must register and can join without a fee. Corporate organisations must pay a fee to join.

Pride Parade after parties in Dublin

Once again, the Mother Dublin block party is set to take over Collins Barracks this Saturday, June 25 after the Dublin Pride Parade as well as Sunday, June 26. There will be international acts, plenty of drag and DJs to help you dance until it's dark.

Dublin drag favourites Victoria Secret and Davina Devine also return on Saturday, June 25 to take over Vicar Street, where they will host a slew of drag performances as well as hours upon hours of pop music.

Meanwhile, Delicious Dublin takes place on June 25 in The Grand Social, promising stellar tunes from DJs including Audiopilots, Tonie Walsh, DJ Ruth and John Power.

A Dublin Pride boat party is also set to take place on June 25 as well as a special pride night in Fibber McGee's, a Euphoria party at The Well and a pride night at Opium.
