Here's how much parking will be in Dublin as price hike set to kick in next week

Parking fees in Dublin city is going to increase next week for the first time in 11 years.

The council has approved a motion to increase the prices as well as expand the colour code zones into more areas.

From next Monday (July 15) Yellow zones will go up from €2.90 an hour to €3.20 while Red Zones will increase 30c to €2.70 per hour.

Further out Green Zones will see the biggest hike to €2.70 from €1.60.

People who use the Parking Tag app are being offered a 10 percent discount in the yellow and red zones.

The expansion, as seen in the map above, sees they Yellow Zone expanded meaning places such as Ranelagh and Rathmines in the south and Phibsborough in the north will see increases.

The area around the 3Arena will now also fall under the Yellow Zone.
