Dublin Fire Brigade have been praised after rushing to help a pregnant mother during Storm Barra.
As winds of up to 130km/h battered Ireland on Tuesday and Wednesday, trees and power lines crashed down across the country.
Many roads were impassable, with a number of Status Orange and Status Red weather warnings being imposed by Met Eireann at the time.
That left a lot of people stranded - including one heavily-pregnant woman in Tallaght.
The unnamed lady ended up going into labour in her home, with a call to the emergency services made.
Dublin Fire Brigade explained what happened in a social media post.
DFB tweeted: "As #StormBarra impacted Dublin last night, firefighter/paramedics from Tallaght fire station were called to a baby in a big hurry.
"They assisted Mum with the delivery of a healthy baby girl. Mum and baby Pria are doing well "
People were quick to praise the crew.
One user replied: "A Christmas wonder of a beautiful life - well done"
Another said: "Oh well done to DFB Team & congratulations to brave Mother & beautiful baby girl"
A third tweeted: "Congrats to mom and Pria, thanks to everyone involved helping the little one into the world"
